Spatial Search will enable collections researchers to draw a polygon on a World Wind map display and then execute a search for all the Taxonomic or Collection Objects held in a collection bounded by the polygon. Coming in a future release.

The search returns records included within the spatial extent, and then a user could zoom in for a closer look. Matching collection objects are listed in the upper left corner window. (These record IDs could be displayed as other types of data fields--collector, taxon, etc.) |
